Six Sigma Green Belt

Program Overview

The Center's Lean/Six-Sigma learning curriculum intention is to provide Lean/Six-Sigma training to corporations and organizational resources for the advancement of knowledge, skill and work performance. All of the Center's programs are based on learning performance exercises, facilitator practicing experiences and knowledge to assist and cultivate the learner's abilities.

Program Objectives

The Center's Green Belt Program is the follow on to the Yellow Belt Program in completing project work and Green Belt Certification. This program provides the training in 4 day learning, working, executing format. The Green Belt Program focuses on [complete objective overview] Specifically;

  1. Provide full understand of the Six Sigma Tool Set; history, methodologies, concepts and language
  2. Complete several simple, and complex performance learning exercises using each tool & concept of Lean/Six Sigma tool set
  3. Provide a full and complete understanding of the DMAIC method
  4. Provide a full and complete understanding of graphical analysis tools
  5. Practice identifying appropriate tool & how to implement into organization or individual work

    Our format followed is for one week (4 days) of training in class followed by several weeks (defined by student project complexity and coach) on the
  6. job to complete the identified project and prepare/complete certification.

  • Yellow Belt Certification Highly Recommended

  • Six Sigma Project Development, Resource Determination and Planning

Upon the successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Understand The Vision & all the tools within Six Sigma, where & when to apply
  • Apply Six Sigma concepts and tools for application
  • Understand and apply for the DMAIC model and the SS tools
  • Practice effective team building for Lean/Six Sigma Projects
  • Understand and practice applying the impact on the customer
  • Apply and use Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies

What will the student take home

The student upon successful completion of the program and project will be able to:
  • Perform a failure mode and effects analysis and a variance of analysis
  • Select relevant Six Sigma projects
  • Develop a basic Six Sigma project implementation plan
  • Apply core statistical methods for collecting and analyzing data
  • Apply the DMAIC model to selected Green Belt level projects
  • Green Belt Certification
